Adv. Neerav Mainkar, being armed with a degree in law and judging the dire need in the industry for good and affordable good counsel, set out to fulfil his dream to contribute more in the field of indirect taxation and laid down the founding stone of the firm in 2005 after bidding adieu to his 16 years old service in the executive cadre with the Central Government. As such, he has been closely associated with the field of indirect taxation for last 31 years. An officer in the Central Excise & Customs Department for 16 years and now pursuing his passion in this field through the sphere of practise. With a humble beginning, he commenced the firm singlehandedly with a home office, which has now grown into four offices & a strong team, handling varied legal matters. He has a vast expertise and skill in handling of litigation of the erstwhile Service Tax, Central Excise, Customs and GST from Original Adjudicating level, Commissioner Appeals upto Hon’ble Supreme Court. He has a distinguished experience inpersonally arguing and pleading in over a 1200 cases across various Tribunals, High Courts and the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. He has addressed numerous seminars and conferences on diverse topics of taxation & corporate laws organized by major Industry associations, International Consutancy Firms& MNCs.
